3 Month Update (Y)

So it may seem that I haven't blogged since 2011 which is indeed a very very long time ago, but I have been very very busy and to complete this massive block in your lives, I will explain all (Y).

I actually need to get my diary out for this, *french accent* hoheho

January: Mummy and Daddy got a new cat, his name is Woody and he is absolutely mental, but the cutest thing you will ever see. I have so many photos and videos of him that I could show you but I'm just going to share some of my favorites with you. I shall also be updating you of his existence as and when I see the beautiful beast :).

This is where he used to sleep :)

Woody and his first collar (Y)

As you also may be wondering me and Danny unfortunately couldn't work things out so decided to call it a day. He is still in Leeds doing his masters and planning his future and we do still talk now and again which is nice :).

Erm what else happened in January, well I worked a lot, revised, went back to Hull, sat my January exams and decided to go out 'clubbing' a lot, which I do believe the Rach did love :P.

Me and the Rach before Brassick!!!

Me and Mr Thomnas looking beaut at Welly :)

February: The month of love......pfft. Not much happened this month except a fandabbydosey ZooSoc social where I got to look like this.....

VELOCIRAPTOR!!!!!

I believe I made a beautiful contribution to this loverly loverly bunch :D
I love these guys, more than they probably know ;).

We also had some house family photos done, just for a laugh and most of us don't look our best but we have seen each other worse, muhahaha!

Nomnomnomnom.

Also this month I went to my first Shinobi which is a drum and bass night at Welly, it was absolutely mental and I loved it!!! I went with Rach, Mr Thomnas and this guy......
...Rhys, who was absolutely drenched in sweat for most of the night, bless him :).

Final points lol, I went to see Chicago live with my Mummy which is the best thing I have seen in a long time, I would defiantly recommend it to anyone who wants to see half naked people that can dance and sing......at the same time :O. The house also campaigned for Rach as she was running for Women's Officer for the union, which again entailed many a night out (Y).

Campigning at Brassick :)

Now this final final thing for February still gets to me a little, it was a big part of my life for three years and that is my beautiful beautiful Sydney. I have unfortunately had to get rid of her, she currently resides at my Daddy's work and is being done up and looked after until she has been sold to a new loving home :'(.
 I LOVE YOU SYDNEY!!!!!!!
March: Arrrggghhhhh, this was a bit of a crazy month, just a little :P. We had a very many nights out, including sunny pub days :). The sun finally arrived, if only for a little while :D. It was also my birthday this month which I celebrated on many occasion. My parents came up with my Grandad and took me out for a meal, I had a meal with the housies and I had an 'S' themed house party which actually turned out quite well :).

Curly, Jack, Evie and Nic :)

 Rach and Mr Thomnas :)

 Marty, Jake and Randomers :)

Philly, Andrew, Steven and Rhys :)

Mr Thomnas thought it would be funny to carry me upside down for a while (Y)

This was also the month that I decided to start Roller Derby :) Many of you may be curious as to what this is, so I suggest to you to either watch Whip it! or to watch this link:

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=P2W2b1WBmm4

It is an absolutely fantastically fun sport and the girls are brilliant!!!!

Here I am :D

I also went to watch the Hunger Games with Mr Thomnas, which was frickin amazing and started to skype with a boy called Andrew :D

Yes indeedy, I am going to leave you on that cliffhanger, MUHAHAHAHAAHAHAHAHAHAHAH!!!!!!

Christmas 2011

Well as you may have seen or heard on Facebook or Twitter, me and my Bambi (Daniel) are no longer together which is completely my fault :'( and it has been an incredibly hard couple of months. However since I have come home for Christmas we have seen each other a couple of times, been to Meadowhall and the cinema etc and we are now seeing each other which is step forward :D. I'm hoping that when he goes back to Leeds tomorrow he won't forget about me and that I won't lose him but it will make things better and we can keep moving forward and eventually get my Bambi back. I miss him so much!

Anyway what I actually wanted to blog about was Christmas, which I would normally say is the best time of year, hasn't been the same. When I got here we went for a chinese with the family as Aunty Sam, Uncle Dave and Toby had come up for a few days. When we was ordering we asked about student discount and they were fine with it then he asked how old me and Toby were, obvs he is 11 and I said I was 20, however when it came round to him going through what we had ordered he said '2 child's meals'. WHAT!?! The waiter doesn't believe I am 20 but thinks I am under 16, I didn't complain though, its cheaper :). Apart from working I saw Danny on Monday, Wednesday and Thursday where we watched tv and he fixed my laptop and then on Christmas Eve we went to Meadowhall and saw Sherlock Holmes. It was nice to see him again and we have started to get on better :) plus Sherlock was amazing!!! On Thursday I also saw my Tessalina Thumbalina where we updated each other on goings on and swapped Christmas presents :). For Christmas dinner we went to Aunty Mandy's new house, where she has been all housewifey and grown up lol.

Merry Christmas!!
We spent most of the day there and then we had to go home as I had work in the morning. After work I went to Grandma Greg's to wish Grandad Greg a Happy Birthday and she had saved me some tea :'). Lovely thing to come home to after a long days work. Then yesterday me and Danny played on Mum's new wii and watched tv. Today I have been soooo lazy lol and just written my blogs, had a tidy etc etc but I shall be babysitting with Danny later, having a Pizza and watching An Idiot Abroad 2 which I bought him for Chrimbo. As it is the last time I will probably see him before he goes back to Leeds, I want it to be nice and hopefully it will be :)

Fingers Crossed the New Year gets better!!!

Whitby Field Trip 2011

Well I thought as seen as I haven't blogged alot I would go into more detail about my little life in Hull. As I said on a previous post I went to Whitby for my Field Studies in Marine Biology module.

Runswick Bay :)

For this trip we stayed at Sneaton Castle Centre where a shared a floor with Jess, Smee, Hannah and Louise (a demonstrator) but on many nights and days Lydia and Eve came to keep us company. Them and me now make up the Angry Bird Crew (Y).

Day 1: Me and Smee decided to drive up there ourselves as the silly mite gets travel sick so we met the others there. Once we were there we unpacked, talked about the rules, had tea and then walked into Whitby.  Basically all we did was spend our time on the arcades and win a pot angry bird each.

Day 2: Sampling on a rocky shore with the ABCrew and taking the samples back for identification and drawing, then off to the bar for card games and gossip :).

 Green Shore Crab

Jess identifying stuff (Y)

Day 3: Sampling on a sandy beach whilst determining the shore profile and using fancy equipment, then taking the samples back for identification and drawing. This was the longest day ever, we had finished identifying, drawing and sieving through sand before the other groups but had to wait till 8/9pm till we could do the final piece so we didn't get out of the lab till 10pm, but off to the bar we went and played animal charades for our last night :).

 Shore Profiling.

 Lydia

Me and Hannah got to paddle in the sea :)

Angry Bird Crew (Y)

Day 4: Shore profiling on a rocky shore and identifying in the field. Then back home :D.

Hannah falling asleep on the last day.

I had a really great time and I met some lovely people :). Cannie wait for next years field trip, it's lovely to get away sometimes!

Hull Uni

So I know its been a while since I last blogged but I have been very busy. I am now in my lovely house at Hull with Rach, Tom, Iona and Chloe. My room is all set up, work is going well and uni is going really fast; in about 3 weeks I will have finished the first semester!! My grades are okay ranging from 54-82 so I can't complain too much and the work load isn't heavy which is why I am struggling to keep myself busy, plus having no money never helps.

I have, however, joined the zoological society who seem very lovely. I have been on some socials with them and been surveying in Filey which I shall be doing again this Saturday so it's going quite well. I also went on a field trip to Whitby this past week for my Field Studies in Marine Biology module. I got to survey the beach with some friends for 3 days which was suprisingly fun as tbh I don't have many friends in Hull but I'm getting there.

Anyway at the moment I am just revising and waiting for data from my Whitby trip so I can start writing my report, typical student (Y).

Change

As I wait to move into my new house at my new university, I think to myself why not go for a new style. My clothes are are starting to get there with what funds I have but my hair needs updating. I had it cut just over a month ago with it short at the back and longer at the front but when I straighten it it's really not me, however when I leave it to dry and give it a scrunch it looks like this......

.... it's quite nice.  But I love straightening my hair and scrunching doesn't always go right, so I have decided to grow my hair a bit and get it cut like this............

.....Alexis Bledel, the Gilmore Girl of my life :). I then thought why don't I change colour too, I mean I'll be in a new place and people won't know me as the boring little brunette so I decided upon this colour.........

....it's cyber purple by Live Color XXL. But the problem is I'm a little bit scared, big changes to my appearance take a lot of courage and I'm hoping it won't make me look too pale either. Please please please let me know what you think or any ideas, especially the hair colour and you never know there maybe a big change next time I have a little blog :D

TTFN!

Holland 2011

So there I was shaking, icky tummy and nearly crying whilst I made dearest Katy talk to me about anything and everything to take my mind off the plane journey. I wasn't bothered about the actually up the air bit it was the taking off and landing that bothered me most. Our plane was called so I had one last trip to the toilet and joined the queue. We got on a bus to the furthest part of the airport and got on the plane, all the way Katy was holding my hand and rambling. I got settled with my water, sweeties and Katy and waited whilst looking out the window. Then it happened the take off and afterwards I turned to Katy and went 'Was that it?' lol. All the hype and there was nothing to be scared of, such a silly Sarah :).

Once we had arrived a had my first experience with an automatic toilet, them walking escalator things and a double decker train :).

Amazing things :D

When we got to Katy's she showed me around her house and then let me get settled in my room. We then went on a bike ride to Leiden, the local town, we had lunch and shopped, it was ever so pretty! In the afternoon/night time we sunbathed on the garden, played Guitar Hero and then her Dad came home and made us breaded chicken for dinner which was scrumptious. He also told me a very Jeremy Kyle story about their family which was very entertaining.

 Windmill in Leiden :)

Don't be fooled she is the cat of two sides but I love her ♥.

On day 2 we went to the beach, I can't remember the name of it but it took about an hour to get there. The weather was glorious so we decided to have lunch and then go onto the beach. Once we had finished we went into the restaurants toilets and got changed into our swimwear, I had a black onestrap/strapless costume and Katy had a black bikini. We got outside again and from nowhere the clouds had come but it was still mega hot. We found a spot on the beach got comfy and then these guys set up in front of us and one of them decided to watch us as we put sun cream on. It obviously looked a lesbianish as we had to do each others backs but there was no need to stare. We relaxed and then I made Katy go in the sea which she hated me for because it was absolutely freezing but we did it nonetheless and it was quite relaxing. Before we left we had a sex on the beach cocktail and some mini pancakes, nomnomnom :).

Later that night Katy's mum came home from being away and we had pasta :).

Day 3 we went to the zoo and it was magnificent. We saw all kinds of animals, including a polar bear and porcupine that I had never seen before. The zoo had all your usual animals plus a butterfly/bird house, reptile and amphibian house and an aquarium center. We were there for 5/6 hours and for some we had to rush through it was that big. We bought some goodies and I bought Katy an early birthday present, a ring tailed lemur teddy which she loved :). At the end we also went on a massive playground that was for all ages but I must admit it did make me feel a bit old as the spaces were a bit small and because the kids saw you as 'adults' they were no longer thinking that you would play on the playground as well but it was fun :D. That night we had stir fry and booked tickets for the next day.

 Hippo Riding :)

 Escapee!!!

 Reliving old memories :D.

I'm too sexy for my clothes....

 I'm a baby!

Entering the zoo.

Day  4 we went to Amsterdam, we had some lunch as usual and then headed for the Heineken Experience. It was amazing, we were beer bottles and took a 4d journey along the process, saw the old factory and all the history behind the company, family and beer, got quizzed and given free beer (Y). There was also some interactive areas to pull your own pint, take a photo, make a video or t-shirt. Once we got to the shop, the hottest dutch guy ever served us and didn't get the principal of pretty please so took the micheal, but I didn't mind it was funny. I ended up buying my dad a beer glass with Dad's Beer :) engraved on it!

Me and Katy with FREE beer :)

We then toddled off to Maddam Tussauds, which I had never been to before and was quite intrigued and turned out to be quite good. We got loads of photos both good and stupid ones and we got in for cheaper due to us entering after 3pm, bonus!

 Me and Bob Marley :)

Save Katy Spiderman!!!

That night the Roscoe's took me out to a very fancy restaurant as it was my last night there. The meal and the restaurant was beautiful and it was lovely having them as company. We had complimentary champagne milkshake which was very weird so Katy ended up with 3, the alchi lol.

Katy and the moo cow outside the restaurant.

On the final day, I packed and tidied the room I had been staying in. I also bought some flowers and a card for the Roscoe's aka the Dumplings to say thank you for letting me stay and feeding me. They seemed very grateful. We then headed off to the Haag, which I think is a place. Again we had lunch and shopped/explored the area. It was beautiful just like everywhere else in Holland and there was some weird and wonderful art in the center.

 Pretty Building :)

 Art Museum

 Postage Art

 Massive Toy Dinosaur :)

 Big Head!

This one has a willy and no balls......weird.

Once we had finished in Haag it was time to take me to the airport, Katy and her mum helped me check in my luggage and showed me where to go after we had one last drink together. It was weird having to do it all by myself, I felt very grown up. But I went through security and passport and got on the plane home. At the airport in Leeds, Mum and Dad were there to pick me up, Danny was going to come but they came in the little picanto so he met me at home instead. For a while I missed Holland with all the bikes, how flat it was, the sun and the company. Sometimes I still do, it was the first and best holiday abroad by myself (+ Katy) I have had :D.

Me, myself and I

Well it's been two months since my last blog and tbh my life is boring. I have however moved from Leeds back to my loving family home, with all of my stuff. Mt dad had to put extra storage though I seemed to have accumulated quite a lot of clothes and books and shoes whilst I have been living away. I don't think they were very happy about it.

Good news :) I am off to the University of Hull in September to do Zoology as planned and I shall be living with my dearest Chloe, Tom, Iona and Rachel. Speaking of Chloe, the little one has gone and walked in my footsteps and made herself her own little blog, she talks about everyday things atm and is a happy little read: http://lifeaccordingtochlo.blogspot.com/.

I have also been transferred to Worksop Sainsbury's for the summer and atm it is very boring, I don't get to do all the stuff that i used to, I just sit on a till or go on the kiosk, no little Sainsbury's family to talk to just me, myself and I. Hopefully it will get better though, I had my first friend request from a Worksopper today though so my presence seems to be working.

Ooooohhh oooohhh I don't know if I mentioned this but tomorrow I shall be on a train to Leeds to stay at Katy's and then I shall be off to Holland on Monday so you will get a massive blog about that next weekend :D

See you then (Y)
